Thomas Aquinas
Jesus loved to see faith. He encountered people daily, some believed he was the Son of God, and some didn't. But the individuals who made him marvel were those who showed great faith. Their faith was contrary to the circumstances and situations they found themselves in. Their faith believed He was the Son of God and could do only what the Son of God could do! (Luke 7:1-10, Luke 8:43-48) That is why they went to great lengths to get to Jesus. Read (Mark 2:1-12 - Jesus and a paralysed man and Matthew 8:5-13 - The Faith of the Centurion).
Believing in God requires FAITH, not logic. And please hear me; intellect is fantastic! I am not saying to engage God, you must disengage your brain. But turning to Him is a heart response; we come like little children (Matt 18:3) in humility and not because we have it all worked out. We know we don't. We put our trust in God, just like a child with a parent.
God is drawing us all to Himself (John 6:44). If your heart is searching, God created that longing within you for reconciliation to Himself, His truth and His life. (John 14:6, John 10:10) The world can never offer you anything that can match what Jesus has accomplished for you on the cross at Calvery.
So when God draws your heart to Him, please respond to His call. It could be via reading this post today, hearing a Christian message on Youtube, or even thinking about attending church. Whichever it is, please respond. We repent and believe, not because all our questions are answered but because He first loved us. Jesus died for YOU because He LOVES YOU, and His Gospel message is TRUE.
John 3:16 The Passion Translation
For here is the way God loved the world—he gave his only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life.
